SHOWstudio 25: Naturally by Nick Nick, Made with Ray-Ban Meta

 To celebrate the launch of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, RanaVerse connected Meta Wearables with SHOWstudio, the home of fashion film, headed by visionary image-maker Nick Knight. Part of Ray-Ban Meta's Fall-Holiday campaign period, the project coincided with SHOWstudio's 25th anniversary, and to commemorate this prodigious milestone, RanaVerse briefed Nick to create a new film, a proposal for the future of fashion image making, utilising the technology of Ray-Ban Meta and featuring today’s most exciting artists and models; the voices shaping the future of fashion.

The task was twofold. While creating this new fashion film, Nick's team at SHOWstudio would document the process, culminating in a BTS film for use by Ray-Ban Meta, spotlighting the technological capabilities of the product and its application in real use cases during production. The BTS showcases an innovative process employed to create the main film, dubbed "Gaussian Scanning" by Knight, where the Ray-Ban Meta glasses are used to capture 3D scans of objects and models, which can then be imported into digital environments, creating a novel result which blends live film, digital rendering and AI generation.


The main film titled SHOWstudio: NATURALLY, Made With Ray-Ban Meta features a roll call of today’s most influential, in-demand models: Anok Yai, Mona Tougaard, Naomi Campbell, Susie Cave and Xiao Wen Ju. Nature and couture merge into a single living ecosystem, blurring the line between the natural world and the crafted imagination with celestial fashion from the likes of Comme des Garçons, Miss Sohee, Matières Fécales, Viktor&Rolf, Robert Wun, archive Christian Dior by John Galliano, Miss Claire Sullivan, Jawara Alleyne, and more.


To date the campaign has achieved a reach of over 21 million on social media, and press articles have generated an audience reach of 3.75 billion, with an estimated audience readership of 2.65 million.
